We present to you a new Croatian metal band with an interesting musical theme and a promising musical career.

A recently-formed band called Sage came to exist only a couple of months ago. In this short time period the band has begun a successful collaboration with Casey Grillo - the drummer and producer from the band Kamelot, who is producing Sage's first album.

Sage has already recorded six songs for their first album which will be mixed in Morrisound recording studios, where great performers such as Iced Earth and numerous other renowned metal bands have also recorded.

The uniqueness of this newly-formed band comes from its combination of three different generations of musicians. Not only does this make Sage a new power band but it also brings in the wisdom gained through age and time, hence the name of the band.

The type of the music played is a mix of heavy, power and progressive metal, although it is hard to specifically define it due to the band’s intent on remaining fresh and unique. The theme of their songs and the album in the making is the Peasants’ Revolt, which metaphorically represents the fight between good and evil, honesty and greed.

The band decided to sing in English so as to make the message come through to a wider audience, and give more people around the world the opportunity to meet colorful Croatian history through their music.

Their goal is to record 12 songs, each having a music video, through which they will present the whole story of the Peasants’ Revolt in a way that has never been done before.

Sage members:

One of the most unique elements of this band is their drummer Vlad Vučeta (14), who is already an acknowledged drummer, despite being 14 years old, and who also played in a band called Angel of fire and Once Alive.

Enio Vučeta (51), guitarist and back vocal, is an experienced musician who has sung with almost every renowned musician in Croatia, and whom you might recognize from another band called Legion (Legija) with whom he recorded five albums. He is the founder of Sage and considers it the best thing he has done in his career.

Davor Bušljeta (26), lead vocal, started singing when he was sixteen, and has sung in four bands in the past. His favorite bands are Iron Maiden, Queen, Judas Priest.

Marko Karačić (27), an experienced bass player and a member of several other bands, such as Caracas, Side Effects , Undercode, Paranoid (Black Sabbath tribute).

Andrej Božić (26), keyboard player and back vocal, started playing the piano at the age of eight. He finished music school, and other than playing keyboards he also enjoys exploring music from a technical perspective. His musical role models are Symphony x, Kamelot and Edguy.

Branimir Habek (23), guitar and back vocal, started playing the guitar at the age of six. His favorite band is Dream Theater.
